Edwin Fairbrother

Freelance Writer | Music Lover and Entrepreneur

Ed graduated with a Master’s degree in Music Industry Management and Artist Development from The London College of Music in 2021, achieving a distinction grade. Since 2020 he has contributed to a number of online music publications including Alternative Press, Rave Report, Pipeline Artists, and Klang Magazine to name a few.

During his MA studies he was writing for the student-led music publication at LCM – The MNGR Mag – and was subsequently made chief editor of the print and online magazine. Since then he has worked freelance in the music industry for indie label Unified Songs, as well as creating press releases for artists.

He comes from a musical background with his father being a jazz musician throughout the 1970s and 80s; who due to an unfortunate injury in the early 90s had to stop playing the drums. Ed also plays the drums, but after realising how difficult it can be to make a living as a music artist nowadays, he’s decided to dedicate his time to helping other musicians achieve success and make a living from their crafts, while honing his craft…writing. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Cultural Studies and a CMI Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership.
