Diligent Fingers & Sodie’s latest collaboration takes us back to the old skool with fresh wordplay: catchy choruses and dense lyricism from this diligent duo
Diligent Fingers drops A Stroke of Luck with songstress Sodie, taken from the Spynal Records head honcho’s latest EP ‘A Peace Sampler’ – as smooth as it is catchy, this one’s sure to bring smiles to the rave!
Samples that sound like they came straight out of a 70s space movie start the track going, opening up room for songstress Sodie (one to watch for the future), as she forces us to notice her vocal hooks until they’re etched in our brains.
The fusion of a catchy chorus “rising above, raising the bar” with sharp chopped breaks and shakers makes my head nod in an uncontrollable manner. The energy builds as a deep rolling bassline lets rip.
Overall this is a jungle-esque 90s warehouse music affair, very strong on the vocal and lyric side of things. Manchester’s very own Diligent Fingers adds his touch to the track; educating us with life lessons and getting the point across in his bars that perseverance and determination are what’s required for life success.
As the track progresses the bass lines pulse – this tag team of Sodie and Diligent Fingers have created a catchy rolling banger that would really bring a smile to your face in the dark corner of a club, or whilst sitting in the café munching on your post rave brekkie as it played over the radio.
