A track with no filler, press play and apart from some micro FX the track is vocal driven with catchy sing along and emotive lyrics. Vocal tracks seem to be coming back to the forefront right now, with the new Shy Fx dubplates and also the Sheba-Q bits forthcoming on Overshadow which encourage crowds to sing along.
From the get go this haunting female voice sings with such power that your hairs stand on end, as a filthy sawtooth bassline rolls over the top of this captivating chanteuse.

Pads and sweeping reverbs fill the void behind the vocals as drums drop in and out, building up until the break kicks in and is literally shoved into the depths of your ears whilst the vocals and bass give you a proper good kicking!
The rolling nature of this track and its appeal lie in the simplicity of the loop; over time the more you listen the more infectious it becomes. Your brain fills in the gaps, experiencing the panning sounds and FX that add more interest and energy to this barnstormer of a track.
A second injection of “oh my“ has the bass line rejigged and more rising FX is added to energise the second drop. Then a tear-out for another 32 bars as the sweeping synth builds up until suddenly it just stops. No outro, no messing.
Every time I have played this one out I keep a good eye on peoples’ reactions, and its hands in the air followed by screwed up – just got stung by a wasp – faces. Then the shock of the atom bomb of a drop eventually passes to be left with euphoric dancing!
